Hi Ryan,
I understand that you are encountering the sign-up issue after updating to Lync 2011 for Mac 14.0.7. And the issue occurs to every users.
According to your description, all the steps I provided in my previous posts have been performed but the issue persists. Since all users using the updated Lync having the same problem, a possible reason is that there are some old DNS caches which may impact on the current users. So you can try the step below to clear the DNS cache(if you have already done it, just ignore it):
Start Terminal, and then run the following command:
lookupd –flushcache
If after clearing the DNS caches, the issue persists, then we need to collect detailed log files of Lync clients to do investigation. If this is the case, I highly suggest you collect the log file and post a new thread. One dedicated engineer will focus on your case and work together with you to collect the log file and do further troubleshooting. Your understanding is highly appreciated.
And here are the detailed steps to get the log file on your Mac machine:
1. Turn on logging for troubleshooting in Lync for Mac. To do this, follow these steps:
a. On the Lync menu, click Preferences, and then click General.
b. Under Logging, click to select the Turn on logging for troubleshooting check box.
2. Exit Lync for Mac, and then restart Lync for Mac to create a log file.
3. Reproduce the issue.
4. Turn off logging for troubleshooting. To do this, follow these steps:
a. On the Lync menu, click Preferences, and then click General.
b. Under Logging, clear the Turn on logging for troubleshooting check box.
5. Collect the log files for Lync for Mac. To do this, follow these steps:
a. On the menu bar in Finder, click Go, and then click Go to Folder.
b. In the Go to the folder box, type the path of the logs folder. For example, type /user/<Useraccountfolder>/library/logs. Then, click Go.
Note<Useraccountfolder> is usually the same as the user name that the user uses to log on the computer. The user name can also be found next to the House icon at the top of the Finder window.
c. In the Logs folder, collect the log files.
If there is anything unclear, or you have any questions about the steps, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Regards,
